PROCUREMENT UNIT

The Procurement unit came into being as a result of the passage into law of the Public Procurement Act of 2007. It vested on the new department/ unit, the procurement of goods and services for Ministries, Extra-Ministerial department and agencies of government in both capital and recurrent expenditures by giving clear and unambiguous guidelines for public procurement.

In ARCSSTEE, the procurement unit began its work in 2009 ans has kept the task of ensuring unbiased participation (fairness, accountability, transparency and competition) in the purchases and supplies of goods and services needs of the various departments and units of the Centre and obtained value for money on all procurements from registered contractors/ suppliers of the centre.

The unit's main objective is to embrace international best practices in procurement management and processes.
